We are thrilled to announce the formation of the long-awaited Ethiopian Tourism Professionals Association (ETPA) with a grand inaugural ceremony on NOVEMBER 2 (Saturday), 2019. The inaugural ceremony is an important milestone in the history of tourism professionalism in Ethiopia sought to put a cornerstone for the prestigious period we professionals would enjoy to the fullest.voice to the tourism industry and promote professionalism in the industry, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of tourism. This association is destined for providing a hand to the growth of Ethiopian Tourism through consultations, partnerships with related bodies, and research endeavors.

Ethiopian Tourism Professionals Association (ETPA) is a non-governmental body established with the primary purpose of giving voice to the tourism industry and promote professionalism in the industry, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of tourism. This association is destined for providing a hand to the growth of Ethiopian Tourism through consultations, partnerships with related bodies, and research endeavors.
The association is not designed to be a mere aggregate of people as many of existing associations but an unusual synthesis of mutual interests, shared objectives, vision, and common destination. ETPA serves as a real melting pot of ideas, skills, and aspirations raising the bars of tourism professionalism. ETPA is set up to safeguarding the interests of professionals and bringing ideas to heal the deep-seated and chronic problems of the tourism industry.

ETPA is a non-profit making, non-political and non-religious professional organisation established with a view to advancing the objectives outlined hereunder
- To contribute to the Tourism policy formulation and implementation capability in the country.
- To promote tourism professionalism in the sector.
- To ensure service excellence and capacity of tourism sector in Ethiopia.
- To promote the professional interests of Tourism Professionals.
5. To promote the study of tourism in the country’s educational institutions.
6. To promote Tourism research and assist in the dissemination of the findings of such research in Ethiopia.
7. To provide fora for the discussion of Tourism issues
